The original 2 compositions required '2 pianos' to play them. I've also transcribed the two works to be played on '1 piano' for convenience. The character and the dynamic range of the two version is quite different.

Today is the 54th anniversary of my arrival in Canada from the northern Alpine region of Italy. I was 13 years old when I set foot on this beautiful country with no knowledge of the culture I would be encountering, nor the language that I would have to speak, nor what the future would have in store for my family. As it turned out, Canada has been ideal, in fact, of all the nations that I've visited and have lived in around the world it is certainly the best. There is a sense of kindness, generosity and humility about its people that is very endearing, reassuring and contagious. However, I occasionally kid my Canadian friends and colleagues about the fact that I have chosen Canada as my home while they were bestowed with this great nation by birth.
This album is about joy; the joy of living, the joy of friendships, the joy of being free to go anywhere I choose, the joy of having the opportunity to learn, the joy of being responsible for my actions, my thoughts, my feelings and my words. The joy of being alive!

今天是我從意大利北部高山地區抵達加拿大的54週年。當我踏上這個美麗的國家時，我只有13歲，卻不了解自己會遇到的文化，我將不得不說的語言，也不會對我的家人有什麼前途。事實證明，事實上，加拿大是我訪問過並生活在世界各地的所有國家的理想之地，這當然是最好的。它的人們有一種仁慈，慷慨和謙卑的感覺，非常可愛，令人放心並具有感染力。但是，我偶爾會向我的加拿大朋友和同事們開玩笑，說我選擇加拿大作為我的家，而他們出生時就被賦予了這個偉大的國家。
